Victorian Brown Felt Riding Hat 'Rembrandt or Van Dyke'****PRICE REDUCTION****
Victorian, 1890s amazing hat this one. A pretty rare example of this riding hat called a Rubens in France or a Rembrandt in England where it was also called a Van Dyke. The shape is also very similar to the Tyrolean. The material is brown wool felt with a faux-brown curly lamb along the edge of the curled brim. The crown is accented with a silk thread wrapped cording. Brown glazed cotton lining band. I am going to send a picture to my Friend Sue Langley to confirm this style.
